We mad the trek from Boonville to Pilot Grove. We started out at the Boonville trailhead that takes you near the Casino and through part of the town.
As you leave town, the trail goes over the Missouri River.
This trail had a lot of monuments and old train cars along the way.
I learned about the Santa Fe Trail. When I was growing up, the history books mostly talked about the Oregon trail. I didn't even know that there was such a thing about the Santa Fe Trail. I am related to Daniel Boone and his children had a lot to do with the history of this area.
There was also a campground. I think it would be so fun to camp and ride. Have any of you done that?
This was a hot ride, but there were a lot of attractions along the way. I would definitely do this leg of the Katy again!
